Children's Ministry

Whether you and your student are long-time attendees of Lighthouse Fellowship or just visiting for the first time, I'd like to take this time to welcome you to Children's Ministry. At last count, approximately 1/3 of the Fellowship currently serves in some way in Children's Ministry, as we believe that your student is very special in God's eyes. Our goal and mission is to help you as the parent, grandparent or guardian rear your student in the love and knowledge of what Jesus did on the cross for him or her. To this end, you'll find below a list of upcoming passages that we will be studying. We encourage you to do the real teaching at home and then allow us to come alongside your efforts on Sunday mornings.

Note that we have three different classes going during our church service on Sunday, divided by age groups. We have the 0-3 (Little Lambs), 4-6 (Faithful Friends) and the 7-9 (Worthy Walkers). While each Sunday everyone studies the same text, activities and scope of teaching changes depending on the age group. Our Sunday School uses Group materials (Faithweaver Curriculum) which is on a three-year cycle exploring the entire Bible! The curriculum is Biblically based and reassures the student each week that God is very real today and that the Word is the inerrant Word of God.

There is so much to tell each new parent (and we really want to share) but what we want you to know is that we are committed to loving your child while he or she is in our care and supporting your efforts as the parent.
